Terms of use
These terms govern your use of this website. They are not the terms on which we would act for you — those are in the client care letter, and nothing here replaces it.

Nothing here is legal advice
This site is general information about the law of England and Wales. It is not advice on your matter, it does not take account of your circumstances, and it should not be acted on without taking advice on the facts.
The law changes, and pages here are written at a point in time. Tax rates in particular change at fiscal events, and a page that was right when it was written may not be right when you read it.
This website cannot instruct us
Until then, please do not rely on us for a deadline. If you have a limitation date, a notice period, a contractual deadline or a court date, tell us about it expressly — and keep protecting it yourself until we have confirmed in writing that we are acting.
If we do go on to act for you and the retainer is agreed at a distance — by email or over the phone, without a face-to-face meeting — you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Your client care letter explains it, including what happens if you ask us to start work inside that period.
Fees, quotes and tax figures
This website does not publish prices. Taylor Rose, the firm through which Yelda Rashid acts, publishes its prices on its own website. Published prices are for straightforward matters. They are not an offer and they are not a quotation for your matter.
The quote form does not display a price, a total or a tax figure. It takes your answers and sends them to Yelda, who prepares a written quote and emails it to you, usually within one working day. That written quote is the one you can rely on, and only for the work it describes.
Any Stamp Duty figure we give you before completion is an estimate based on the answers you have given us. It is confirmed formally before the return is filed. HMRC’s own calculator is the authoritative tool and we link to it wherever tax is discussed.
Bulgarian law
Yelda Rashid is also a qualified advocate in Bulgaria. That qualification is used for Bulgarian-language client care and for cross-border liaison.
Availability and liability
We take care to keep this site accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of anything harmful, and we do not accept responsibility for loss caused by relying on general information here rather than on advice.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Where we link to another website we do so because it is useful — HMRC’s calculator, HM Land Registry, the Legal Ombudsman. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content.
Content on this site
The text, design and layout of this site belong to us or to our licensors. You may read it, print it and share a link to it. Please do not republish it as your own.
Governing law, complaints and changes
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the protection of your local mandatory consumer law.
If something has gone wrong, our complaints procedure explains how to raise it and how to take it to the Legal Ombudsman. Our privacy notice explains what we do with your information.
We may change these terms. The version on the site when you use it is the version that applies. If you want anything here explained, send us a message.
